Spotted at the Met

Spotted: Kate Day on the rooftop of the Met making an absolute scene to get the perfect shot.

One month in NYC and I’m honestly shook at how fast time is flying by. There’s so many things to do in this city so it’s about time I start ticking off items from my NYC Bucket list collection on Insta—which is exactly why an afternoon at the Met with my friend, Avery, sounded like a great idea.

NYC has been HOT this summer but this day in particular was one of those sweat-dripping-down-you-legs-contemplating-jumping-into-the-lake-during-your-walk-through-central-park kinda hot days.  I knew I would keel over and die if I wore pants and I felt like giving my poor denim skirt a rest since I wear it to work weekly, so this dress was the best move. It’s lightweight, on-trend with the polka-dot print,  my current color obsession (have you seen my Instagram lately? We’re all about red this season, honey), and for $15, it was a total steal.

I paired this summery number with checkered Vans because, contary to popular belief, they go with everything (don’t believe me read my article). NYC has also been inspiring me to up my jewelry game so I layered my go-to nameplate with the star choker I’ve been eyeing at Brandy forever and finally purchased (it’s was only $8 which tbh, is less than I spend on lunch). And I can’t forget my Met sticker—it really adds a #fashun touch to this look.

New York has also been inspiring me to get back in to blogging so hopefully I’ll be posting at least once a week. For now though I’m signing off!

Xo,

Kate Day
