Helloooo!! Long time no speak. I feel like I’ve been completely MIA lately, two weeks without blogging is just too long. I do have a decent excuse though; college cold season is upon us and I’m always one of the first to catch it. My friends made a joke the other day that when I get sick I don’t mess around, I go all out and basically die for a few days (now my poor babies are getting sick too, sorry roomies)!! My routine the past few days has been sleep, study, shower six times a day to try to clear congestion. Repeat.
But don’t you worry! I am all better and feeling 100% now! And it is fabulous!!
It feels like forever ago but today I wanted to share some pictures from my first real weekend in the city, Memorial Day Weekend! In my last post, I showed you a photoshoot from that Friday. Today I’m sharing lots of other amazing pictures from the weekend!
Friday
On Friday, my friends Cami, Kelsey, Sam, Ricky and I explored the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago and walked from Oak Street Beach to North Avenue Beach.

Saturday
On Saturday, Tarah joined the previous day’s group and we set off to explore Lincoln Park. We took the L to the Armitage stop on the Brown Line and wandered until we found ourselves in the Clybourn Corridor shopping area.

Sunday
Sunday was SUPER chill and a day for doing homework. In between assignments, I walked around campus for awhile since it was beautiful outside. Later, my friends and I piled into the car to head to Target to buy some apartment necessities like a Swiffer, #adulting.
Monday
For our final day of the long weekend Cami, Allison, and I headed to the beach. The weather had other plans though and we got rained out so quickly. After the rain finally stopped, my roommates and I headed to a local ice cream shop, Gordo’s, where you can customize your own bars!
That’s all for now! I’ll be back later this week with a very exciting post!
Xo,
Kate Day
Once again—GREAT!!! Looks like you had a fun way to start sophomore year! xou
