AND WE BACK AND WE BACK AND WE BACK AND WE BACK AND WE BACK AND WE
Ya girl is back in her city and she is #thriving. If you’ve ever had even a two minute conversation with me you know that I FREAKING LOVE CHICAGO. Without a doubt, Chicago is my happy place and I feel lucky every day to get to call it home for nine months each year.
As stereotypically touristy as it may be, the skyline may be one of my favorite parts of this city. While there’s so many places to get absolutely breathtaking skyline views, my personal favorites can be found walking from Oak Street Beach to North Avenue Beach. To kick off our first weekend back, my friends and I did just that.
Since I knew there would be countless photo ops on our little downtown stroll, I planned an outfit inspired by my love for this city. My top is a thrifted Chicago Bulls T-Shirt that I DIY’d last year by adding an on-trend lace-up neckline. I kept the all black everything theme by throwing on my go to black skinnies (the distressed knees were another DIY project), my checkered Vans (when am I not wearing these, though?) and my black sunnies (another item I’m never not wearing). As I headed out the door, I grabbed my oversized denim jacket because, after all, this is the windy city and it’s always colder by the lake.
Also a huge shoutout to my roomie, bff, and fellow blogger Cami for taking these amazing pictures! You get me girlie!! Be sure to be on the lookout for more Chi Town inspired content coming from both of us soon!
