Dressing it Down

It blows my mind how fast this summer has come and gone and how busy the past few weeks have been. At the moment, I am currently sitting at my dorm desk typing this (don’t worry apartment/dorm tour coming soon!!) and it’s very surreal that my sophomore year of college is just days away.

This summer has been a blur of work, quality time with friends and family, whirlwind trips, and of course, blogging! My blogging BFF, Makenzie, and I had the perfect routine down this summer. We helped each other pick outfits and met for weekly photoshoots followed by coffee or shopping! This quick little look is from our last summer shoot together.

Let’s start with the top. You may remember this cami from my 19 Things… post. In that post, I dressed it up by pairing it with a gingham skirt and heels. You know I’m all about re-wearing pieces and versatility so this week I’m dressing it down. I paired the cami with my OG casual piece, patched and distressed boyfriend jeans I scored on a GAP clearance rack for $12 that were miraculously my size. My sneakers brand new babies are adidas and were found at Nordstrom Rack (me and my excessive bargain shopping habit strike again).

Accessory wise, I stuck to my new signature; big gold hoops, round black sunnies, and my favorite birthday present, a dainty nameplate necklace found on Etsy (a la my style icon, Carrie Bradshaw). Not only does this necklace go with everything, it’s the perfect opportunity to nonchalantly rep my blog!

Now that summer is finally coming to a close, I ask you to bear with me as I ~FALL~ (pun intended) into the swing of things this school year. It might take a few weeks to figure out ideal blogging times, but once I get my schedule all figured out you can expect weekly content! Exciting things are coming this year!!
